The game uses a round-robin system, and gold is the main resource in TFT: Teamfight Tactics. When each game starts, players will have a fixed amount of gold coins, and these fixed coins are used to buy the initial game heroes. 

As the game progresses, players will earn gold coins after successfully attacking enemies and surviving, then players can use these coins to upgrade their lowest level heroes. The player's goal is to attack the other seven players by selecting the team of heroes that can survive the round robin and lose their respective life values. 

The amount of gold you need to buy or upgrade your heroes in the game will be a key factor in how far you can go in the game. There are two ways in which players can upgrade their heroes in the game, the first being items and the second being star levels, where players can purchase specific items for their heroes to use to upgrade their attributes or attack performance. Fusing three 1-star heroes creates a 2-star hero, and fusing three 2-star heroes creates a 3-star hero. 

In short, the higher the level of the hero, the stronger the ability should be. Teamfight Tactics has many characters waiting for players to unlock, such as: Assassin, Swordsman, Fighter, Elementalist, Guardian, Gunner, Knight, Ranger, Shapeshifter and Mage. In short, players can play more successfully if they can be more whimsical in deploying their hero lineups.
